Sovereignty in Action: Strengthening Preference & TERO Law

The 2026 CTER Legal Update and Indian Preference Conference comes at a time when the federal government is attempting to reshape itself and precedence seems to have very little value—and more and more things are being worked out in the courts as challenges to executive power are becoming more common. This is an important time to get advice from experts in TERO and Indian Preference Law and from national and Tribal leaders. We need to know what threats are out there and how to challenge them when they come.

We are back at The Orleans again this year and hope you will make plans to join us as we learn from experts and each other. The registration forms are posted below, as well as a preliminary agenda (which will be updated as more scheduling is confirmed).
