Update, April 29, 2016

Hello,

It’s been a couple of months since my last letter update on what’s been going on here at CTER.

I’m glad to announce that our CTER Membership drive since the last letter has increased to about 15 more tribes. As of today, our membership for 2016 is 41 tribes that paid their dues. And I would like to thank you for your support for CTER. And for the tribes that haven’t, please send them in as soon as possible. This will save you and your tribe when you register at our National Convention at Lummi in August and Legal Update Conference in December.

I’m glad to say we finished our NCCI project at the Yurok Tribe in Northern California. It was a great success and we have been asked to go back to Yurok Tribe for two more new projects: a fisheries building and a suicide prevention building.

Also, the Crow Tribe has asked for a proposal for an NCCI project.

The Duck Valley Tribe out of Nevada has also shown interest in an NCCI project.

The training that happened in Phoenix, Arizona, in February went very well. Thank you to those that attended this session.

Also, the Pacific Northwest Regional Conference in Omak, Washington, in April was another great conference with a great turnout.

I’m glad to announce that our 2016 National Convention will he hosted by the Lummi Tribe in Bellingham, Washington, July 31-August 3, 2016. So get ready for a great Conference and all the information will be posted on CTER’s website. The draft agenda will also be posted. We will be sending you registration forms. We are also looking for sponsors, so if you are able to support our conference, please reach out to me.

Again, my condolences to anyone that may have lost a loved one in the last couple of months. My prayers are with you.

That’s all I have for now, until we meet again. May your travels be safe, and see you in Lummi…

Lee Adolph
President CTER
