Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 20 weeks Shift: 12H Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active VA / Compact License required upon start Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Work history with explanations for gaps in employment over 90 days - Skills checklist - Copy of nursing license Description: New position requested. Charge responsibility is required, and the RN will receive the appropriate pay differential and training. The role involves managing a mixed patient population, including med-surg, tele, cardiac IMCU acuity level, neuro, and CVA patients. The unit strives to accommodate 2/3 weekends a month based on needs. The RN must work at least one major holiday, such as Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day. Limited requested time off will be considered. The client may cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior due to census changes. The nursing team works closely with students and new hires, contributing to a culture of support and education. Cerner experience is preferred. Float requirement is not applicable.
